Description:

SH-PEG Silane is a surface active polyethylene glycol reagent with terminal connections of triethoxysilane and thiol groups. Sulfhydryl polyethylene glycol silicon can modify the surface of materials such as glass and silica through the reaction between hydroxyl groups and alkoxysilyl groups. At the same time, sulfhydryl group and maleimide imide generate thioether bond, and react with mercaptopyridine to obtain disulfide bond, which can also be used to modify gold nanoparticles. The PEG crosslinking agent between alkoxysilane and thiol groups has good water solubility, small steric hindrance, and high reaction activity. Compared with other organic silane molecules, silane PEG derivatives have hydrophilicity and biocompatibility. All silylation reactions can be carried out in aqueous solutions without the need for any organic solvents. Alkoxy groups are easily hydrolyzed in aqueous solutions and react at room temperature for 30-60 minutes.
