Description:

ALK-PEG-SH can be used to modify proteins, peptides, and other materials or small molecules. Sulfhydryl (- SH) and maleimide imide are easy to form stable thioether bond at PH6.5-7.5. Mercaptan groups have high affinity for gold surface and are widely used to modify gold nanoparticles or gold films. The alkynyl group can react with azide in click chemistry under the action of copper catalyst, and the alkynyl group (- ALK) can react with copper catalyzed azide in aqueous solution. PEG modification can improve solubility and stability, and reduce the immunogenicity of proteins and peptides. It can also inhibit the non-specific binding of charged molecules on the modified surface.
