Description:

Nhs-peg-opss, mercaptopyridine reacts with free mercapto groups in the range of pH 4.5 ~ 8.5 to form disulfide bonds and release pyridine rings. The active ester at the other end can form a stable amide bond with amino group, and polyethylene glycol can increase solubility and stability and reduce the nonspecific binding on the surface of charged molecules. O-pyridyl disulfide (OPSS) - functionalized polyethylene glycol (opss-peg) is a peg derivative with sulfhydryl activity, which can modify biomolecules or other materials through its sulfhydryl group. O-pyridyl disulfide reacts with sulfhydryl group to form a stable disulfide bond and release a sulfhydryl pyridyl group at the same time.
