Methoxypolyethylene glycol polylactic acid (MPEG PLA) is a block copolymer with hydrophilic segment methoxypolyethylene glycol at one end and lipophilic segment polylactic acid at the other end. By adjusting the molecular weight or hydrophilic / lipophilic segment ratio, methoxypolyethylene glycol polylactic acid can be used as carrier materials for different kinds of drugs, and improve the water solubility, entrapment efficiency and drug loading of drugs.

Methoxypolyethylene glycol polylactic acid can be made into drug loaded microspheres, microcapsules, vesicles and micelles, which can be used to achieve sustained-release and controlled-release of drugs. It can also be used as tissue engineering scaffolds with good hydrophilicity.

Precautions: avoid frequent thawing, prepare and use now, keep dry and avoid light.

It is used in medical research, drug release, nanotechnology and new material research, and cell culture. And ligand research, peptide synthesis support, grafted polymer compounds, new materials and polyethylene glycol modified functional coatings.
