Description: 
HS-PEG-SH is one of the bifunctional PEG derivatives with free mercaptan groups at each end of PEG. Mercaptan can react with many mercaptan reactive groups, such as maleimide, iodoacetamide, pyridine disulfide, etc. Mercaptan groups also have high binding affinity to noble metal surfaces such as gold and silver. Therefore, mercaptan peg can be used for surface modification of gold or silver particles.

Handlingand Use:

SH-PEG-SH Attention should be paid to temperature difference and air humidity to prevent moisture absorption. In the reaction as far as possible in the inert gas protection.

Storage condition:

SH-PEG-SH should be stored at -20℃. Desiccate.  Materials may be handled under inert gas for best stability. Re-test material after 12 months.
